I was very saddened with the amount of dignity shown when consulting with a woman in regards to cremation services. I am the only living relative and explained that a memorial service would not be necessary and also that I already have an urn, she then made reference to me wanting the chepest option and asked if I wanted my father to be put into a cardboard box. Then she continuously made comments about my father being put in to a cardboard box, since I needed the cheapest option. Very rude, Very disrespectful, and I was very disappointed.

We have generations of family buried here as well as allowed services to be performed here, however that all came to an end in November 2016. The disrespect to my father in which my mother had to endure was hurtful and shameful to say the very least. They did not tell my mother until the day before the memorial that he was not going to be buried day of the memorial. There was a delay of life INS check copy sent to Moore (Dignity) for whatever reason, we were not told how that happened but came to suspect it was a Dignity error. We were told " anyhow , the Honor Guard cannot attend, they are too busy to make it. " My father is a Vietnam Veteran. However, they were able to make it when we were able to put him in the ground.....3 days later??? Makes no sense. For a funeral home to be ran like big business only , is a sad tale of how compassion and simple kindness in such a sad time for a family is waning. I understand the need for ensurance of funds but my mother was never given other options to pay, we would have paid out of pocket if it meant giving my father the final respect he deserved. We have moved on of course, but it all came rushing back when mother and I went to visit my fathers grave yesterday and no marker was present. This marker was bought and paid for years ago by my father yet almost 3 mos after he was buried it still sits in storage and it will take " another 4 weeks to get it ready" Ladies and gentlemen, please do yourself a favor and save yourself more grief, take your business elsewhere, your lived one deserves better.

Very professional and caring staff. Their Christian ethic was a great comfort to a family who lost three in a tragic murder.

I am giving them a One Star Review only because no Zero Star Review exist. They handled my Father's funeral when he passed in February 2000. I furnished all the documents, including the DD 214 for a VA Marker to be set at my Dad's feet. They never set it. My Dad is buried in Gordon, Texas, so, it is not like I go out there all the time anymore. My Mother passed in 2010, and I asked them why my Dad's marker had never been set. The lady who handled my Dad's service, also handled my Mom's, and assured me it would get done, was an oversight. Said she had the DD 214 and would take care of it. I was in Gordon last month, and no marker. I call Moore and after I get passed around a bit, I got John, who said he could find no information, my Father was not buried in Moore Gardens, and he could not help me. My Dad was a World War II vet, and, as has been pointed out, these people over charge, in my opinion. But, I was left to make all the arrangements, at the point Dad passed, so, what do you do. I paid what they wanted, and did not get all I paid for. This is the last service they will ever do for anyone in my family. I recommend you go anywhere but Moore. Being a Veteran myself, it is disrespect.

Moore Funeral Home has been used by our family for decades. However, we will no longer be using them in the future. My husband passed away and the experience dealing with Moore Funeral Home was worse than buying a car. The prices have gotten so out of hand, starting at over $18,000! The funeral director kept having to go ask her manager about reducing the prices. It was so stressful at such a terrible time in our lives. There was no compassion or kindness, it was all about money! One month after my husband passed away, my brother passed away and we used Martin Thompson Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Totally different experience - they were compassionate and had very reasonable prices. No dickering back & forth like buying a car! With the death of a loved one, you are at the mercy of the funeral home you choose, so choose wisely!
